02 How the Cruiser works

Follow one event, step by step, from the shop's 2026 Pricing & Packages sheet. The scene is an illustration, not the real van or a booking. Skip the scene

  1. It comes to you.

    No added travel fee within 20 miles of Portland, Maine. The sheet lists $100 for 21–40 miles and $250 for 41–60 miles.

  2. Two of the team, up to two hours.

    Every package brings two team members and up to 2 hours of service at a private event. Extra hours are $100 each.

  3. Scoops or Sandies.

    Scoop Event: two scoops per person, with six flavors and six toppings you choose. Sandie Event: hand-made, pre-packaged ice cream cookie sandwiches, featuring the five best-sellers.

  4. Up to 100 guests included.

    2026 minimums: $1,200 Monday–Thursday, $1,800 Friday–Sunday, with a 50% deposit at booking, plus Maine sales tax. Extra guests are $7 each. Confirm current pricing with the team. 2026 Pricing & Packages (PDF) (opens in a new tab)

04 Who's behind it

Always stop for ice cream.

Kevin and Hayley Ward met in 2011 while scooping ice cream at Boston's Quincy Market. In the spring of 2023 they moved to Portland and opened their own shop: locally owned and operated, in the heart of the Old Port.
