01What BK Shanae offers

Four ways to BK Shanae.

Book a private workshop, join a pop-up, buy the candles ready-made, or stock them in your shop.

02How a mobile pour works

The kit comes to you.

Skip the scene

  1. Book a time, then set up

    Pick a time on the official Pour with Us page and allow up to 72 hours for final confirmation. The first 30 minutes of each slot are set-up time.

  2. Explore the scent bar

    Smell 30+ scents. BK Shanae pours soy candles with fragrances it describes as free of suspected carcinogens and toxins.

  3. Choose a vessel and pour

    Everyone selects a candle vessel and makes a custom candle of their own.

  4. Pack up

    The last 30 minutes of each slot are clean-up time, and everyone leaves with the candle they made. Ask how long it should set before lighting.

04Who's pouring

Lancaster-born. Community-poured.

BK Shanae Candle Co. was founded by Brooklyn Smith-Jones, a Lancaster native, School District of Lancaster alum and Franklin & Marshall College graduate. Its mission, in its own words, is to “spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and strengthen community.”

  • Healthier scents Soy candles with fragrances described as free of suspected carcinogens and toxins: “Providing healthier scents, one light at a time.”
  • Beyond Lancaster The company says its candles have already reached Charlotte, North Carolina and Virginia.
  • Next chapter For now a mobile company; a brick-and-mortar storefront is its stated goal.
